Native to north eastern Brazil, Pilosocereus chrysostele prefers bright light coupled with regular watering and feeding through the summer months for optimum growth. Although a height of upto 3m can be achieved in habitat, plants rarely reach anything like this height in the confines of a pot, nevertheless Pilosocereus chrysostele can quickly grow into quite an impressive specimen.

Water well through the summer whilst the plant is actively growing, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Minimum watering in winter while the plants water usage is at its lowest.
